found a 2011 SS with 24k miles that needed more hp and decided to go FI. I had the options of TT or SC and decided to go Procharger D1 with an upgraded IC to handle future upgrades. This is a pic on her way to GPI for round one the day after I bought her.

Are you sure it's hitting 8.5psi? Cat's clogged maybe?

Hmmm. Where do you think the numbers should be?

Round 2

OK, you know how these things work. One mod begets another mod because the last mod was good for a while, then you want more mods for additional power. LOL!

But, then there is the point of diminishing returns on power, then the gains become more incremental.

For the next round of mods, I decided to go ahead and max out the D1 Procharger. I called GPI and arranged the following upgrades:

SS3 Cam Package
Kooks LTH
Kooks Off Road X Pipe
Pulley Upgrade

I was on the fence regarding methanol injection or E85 conversion. My hesitation with meth was that it was another fluid I had to maintain and refill regularly. Also, I had an HP goal of over 700whp.

Aaron at GPI did a great job of explaining the details of both setups and member BiggFoot recommended E85 now vs later if I had any plans to go in that direction anyway.

With that in mind, the decision was made to make the conversion and pass on meth. Here is the setup for that:

E85
Fore Innovations Twin Pump
Flex Fuel Sensors
ID1050X Injectors

I put her on a trailer and shipped her off last week. I hope to get her back in about a month.

Anyone care to guess how much power and torque I should put on the ground with this build?

I can only go by my experience in the search for more HP. When I had the Maggie spinning for about all it could do and was on meth injection my numbers were 711/690 at 13.0 psi.

When I made the last tweak to E85 and fixed my belt slip issues, but was still on Maggie (before ProCharger) my numbers were 794/757 at 13.7 psi.

When I compare our mods, the only thing you wont have is a set of after market heads which added a ~ 35-40 hp bump for me.

A lot is going to depend on the psi tweak for the ProCharger. Since you are going to E85 I would be making sure the shop was maxing out the ProCharger. If the shop is confident you will get 13 psi, then my guess is you will come in ~ 760/695.

Just curious, I assume you are currently using a "6" heat range plug, like a NGK TR6?

With the boost/hp increase did the shop suggest going to a cooler plug in the "7" heat range? If they did, then good. If they didn't then I would be wondering why that wasn't considered? I was using a "7" when at 794 hp and 13.7 psi (Maggie) on E85 and now using a "8" at 900 hp and 15 psi (ProCharger).

Here is the only thing I am struggling with over your build. If later you decide to give up the training wheels and switch from a "D" to an "F" series ProCharger, those ID-1050's aren't going to support 900 hp. That was one of my problems when I made the F-1X jump (I had 1000's). You should check to see the difference in price if you go with the ID-1700's over the 1050's. I sense you are a lot like me bro, your gonna end up going for the gusto!

All good advice!! Especially rethink the injectors!! the 1050 cc are only gonna go so far. Probably a ~$500 price difference, but sooner or later you will more likely have to pay the piper. Then you would be stuck selling used injectors to try to recoup some money back.
