Thanks Sean, you just ruined the mental picture I had. Now I might just have to take it though an automated car wash just so I don't have to scrub that off. Oh the horor

I'm going to teabag your shifter the next time I see your car.

Lifters were going click clack on startup. Really loud like a diesel. The TSBwas to replace the lifters with different ones. Once inside they found that my cam was all marred up too. GM over nighter the cam but it was just too much to get it done intime to hit the track tonight. Oh well. This will give me time to break everything in like I probably should.

How many miles did you have on your car when the noise started?

well the first 2 runs when the sun was up was really nice. Kirk and I ran head to head. He took me by 1/2 a car.
My first run was 14.0 and his was 13.9 or so I would have taken him with the reaction time I had. Well it was fun until the 2 accidents that made me say Good bye.

It did it since day one. It just kept getting a little worse over time.

Hello again folks. Don't you just love this Rocky Mtn spring weather. Drove to the Springs and back today and got snowed on 7 times. Check out loud pedal motorsports c5festll photos. I saw good photos of Garth, Ted, and James' camaros on there.

Stayed for two more runs... another sub 12 car almost lost it. By my last run I could feel how slick that track was up towards 1000'. Ran good and consistent the last two. My R/T's are staying sub .100 but I just need to stop getting excited and jumping the light .

Had fun last night even though I only got 4 runs in. Wish those guys would have stayed off the walls but I hope they are OK.

THE L99 did rule last night although not by much! 13.9 to the LS3 best of 14.0. I may be in trouble when Tom puts on his DRs unless I do the same.

Must say I was a bit bummed that my car seemed to gain nothing after adding the headers...........especially with such a low DA last night. My best time last year was a 13.9 and after DA convertion last night, I am almost the same exact time as last year. Maybe all the LEDs are drawing too much power LOL J/K At least Im consistent!
I did however, experience wheel hop for the first time ever and wasnt too fond of it! 1/2 shafts still intact :>)

Chris, the snow tires ROCK!!!

That's a sure sign the track was way too cold to be running on. Glad you guys got to go, but I'm a warm-blooded racer. Gonna wait at least another month for the asphalt to warm up. I had a friend of mine kiss the wall at a 140 trying to get second gear to hook, so I'm a big believer in warm tracks...even at the times that we all (will) encounter with these Gen5's.
Glad everyone on this board was safe and had a good time. Next week is looking better as of right now.

yeah. I'm definitely watching the temps closer from now on. it's fine while the sun is out but once it goes down the track gets cold quick.
