Headers can make quite a difference here..The SRT300 I saw had the basic add-ons. Headers put's you into a different mod category for me.

And in my opinion, headers are a bolt on mod, since they...bolt directly on It's still part of the exhaust system like the cat-back. True you need a tune, but that's true of most parts if you want to optimize the gain they give you. |

Chappy, I think the SRT8 Challengers come with headers from the factory. I guess the 300C SRTs didnt.

I think just the 6 speeds have the headers, same for the R/T I believe, not 100% on that though.

The Challenger SRT8s come with stock headers. You can ask around on any Challenger forum. And it's not just the 6-speeds either.

From a Mustang POV, the stock headers on a 05~09 flow very well. So there are really no gains going to a aftermarket shorties piece. For us, going to full lengths can make quite a difference. Boosted apps can loose some PSI going to LT's so some believe you should stay with shorties. I did a test on my car, when I was doing the tune, just to see. I did not gain from shorties aftermarket compared to my stock ones. Did not get a chance to see about LT's, but I know a few people who have N/A apps and have said LT's made quite a difference. |

All SRT8 vehicles come with a shorty header. Adding long tubes has proven to add 5-7RWHP. Not much to be had with long tubes on an SRT8 with bolt ons. I got rid of my 5.7 6 speed R/T with a Procharger just last month in favor of my new SS. I know quite a bit about the Dodges. |
