Raced a Cobalt SS with alot of mods last night.....

So I pull up to the line at our local track next to a black Cobalt SS. We take off and I can tell immediately that it is not stock from the turbo sounds as he shifts. I took him off the line and all the way down the track about 3 times in a row. Then the last time we finish neck and neck or he may have won by a hair and I ask him what he has done to his car. He doesn't tell me other than to say it's not stock, but I can smell the spray he just used to keep up with my SS. So I say to him, what a pity you had to use spray just to keep up with all the mods you did to the car vs. a 100% stock Camaro 2SS. I liked the car but he was a jerk. Glad I pulled him 3 times before spray. i just hate when people use spray in everyday cars. I am one of those guys that likes to rebuild things or add superchargers, but never spray. Spray just seems so cheap and wussy to me. Yeah it may give you a good boost, but who cares. Show something and build it. Just thought I would share and rant a bit.

yea some cobalt owners are d***heads. alot of them are good headed guys(coming from that platform)....there are alot of gto haters so i expect the camaro will be the same. good race though....but i guarantee he doesnt have more than maybe 6k in mods(performance) however...they are a fast car, and given you can pick up one for cheap(got mine for under 20k brand new)...youl really suprise people

Hey Lee I always see you posting about going to the track. Do you have any vids? I would like to see how the L99 gets down

I believe his "local track" is a play on words.

I know when I go to the track- I never worry that much about the car beside me, nor can I pay that much attention to car lengths etc.

I think the lack of 60' discussion, lack of 1/4 times and mph makes this seem like the Local track isn't a "track" at all.

Most Cobalt owners are jackasses.

Ask me how I know

The SS/TC with a downpipe, hard charge piping, a three inch exhaust and an aggressive tune will trap 112-114 and run mid to low 12s depending on driver.

Yeah. The timeslips at the track would tell you. Looks like we have a street racer who wanted to post his story.

Most gases that are odorless have additives which give them a unique smell, this way you know if you have a leak. (safety issue) -- Not sure about Nitrous Oxide for car use?
