How do Michelins compare to OEM Goodyear from purely a Track perspective?
Open question for you guys running Michelin Pilot Super Sports on your ZL1...
I really enjoy Tracking my ZL1 and I was curious of the guys that are overwhelmingly pleased with their Michelins, have they used them extensively on the track or are you guys basing your feedback primarily from highway driving experience? I've been really pleased with the Goodyears on the track with no traction issues at all given that the tires have had a chance to heat up. How many of you guys are running your Michelins on the Track and what are your comparison thoughts from a Track Perspective vs. the Goodyears? |

From my experience the track performance is about the same, but the michelins will last 2-3 times longer which more than justifies the extra cost.

Just ordered the Michelins...295's front...315 rear...will let you know how they are compared to the SuperCar F1's. My Goodyears were beat up pretty bad from track use.

Fantastic tire! Just had them mounted this afternoon. Went with 295's front, 315's to the rear...no fitment issues, rides, handles, better, a lot quieter too...best bet for replacements on the ZL1.

I need tires in the next few months for my 1LE and was thinking about running this set up. I'm curious how they tuck, especially in front. Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Tapatalk

Looks pretty tucked. Maybe a little bulge out of the wells in the back? Or is that my imagination? Car looks great though. Thanks for the pics.

I ran the Michelin PSS on the rear at Roebling Rd last month and didn't have any traction issues. I still have the OEM front tires.

Maybe it's the pic; but both the front and back tires look to big for the wheels.

It the picture, hard to see the end of the tire, wheel well is black...they buldge a little on the back but nothing outside the upper fender...biggest I would go though.
