a/c issues anyone have this?
anyone getting a whining noise inside the car from their a/c on a manual 2 SS? the noise sounds like the noise youd hear from a bad plug wire when it whines through the radio. took it to the dealer and they said it was the compressor and they replaced it. the whine is still there. it stops when i shut the a/c button off or i shut off the fan. this is a new noise and the wifes automatic doesnt do it. they said compressor because it stops when a/c button is off. at this point they are saying its normal on camaros due to the design of the a/c. my concern is im 4000k miles from warranty ending and i dont need a/c issues in summertime florida after my warranty ends.

Doesn't do it on my 1SS. However; I am getting the blower motor chirping at low speeds that I've read about on other threads..Will be bringing mine to the dealer soon for that. Otherwise, mine's been a good SS.

Mine doesn`t make any whining noises either, that does not sound normal to me, mine is very quiet and cools very well.

a lot of folks have a tick/chirp sound at lower speeds on the blower motor; including me. Maybe it is this you are hearing?

Mine does it, and it drives me INSANE. It is not a chirping like others have complained about... Rather, it sounds like a noisy computer fan... When you hear plastic rubbing against plastic. Problem is, I keep getting told that it is normal, when in actuality, I think nobody else can hear it. It is incredibly frustrating. I am about to go to the dealer and sit in every Camaro on the lot and see if those do it as well.

Mine is going in to have the compressor replaced Tuesday, same problem and it leaked residue everywhere. Antifreeze I guess?

me too
Me too -automatic w/ everything shut of inside the car with engine running you hear this low low grade whine like electrical feedback in my opinion. If you rev he engine it goes up in volume but it is such a low pitched whine that with any other things on such as heater, radio window open it is barely audible.Bugs you though for sure.

I had a noisy belt, after looking under the hood the belt was riding up the side of the crankshaft pully. This Saturday they are going to replace the AC compressor and belt as they siad the bearings were bad on the AC. When I turn on the AC the belt noise does not change so this is probably not your problem. Just thought I should post about AC problems.

No whining noise, but mine doesn't blow cold air. It's not the freon either. Dealership is ordering parts, going in next week.
