Curb Rash on Midnight Silver Rims??

Has anyone with Midnight Silver rims gotten curb rashed fixed? Is it possible? If so, how much was the fix? Pics if you can. Thanks

Trevor

Most I got fixed was the paint that was rubbed off of them by the straps that held it to the truck. That was free, but would have been $100 per wheel if it were my fault.

Trevorw24, I have bad curbrash on all 4 of my midnight silvers. So far I have found repair prices ranging from $100-$200 per wheel here in Los Angeles, Ca area.. I d rather buy new rims and then have these fixed/powder coated later. Good luck. i hope you find better prices than I have.

I've had to have it fixed a number of times, but luckily each time it's been a part of another repair. I've curb rashed three wheels, and I've been hit twice, once in each rear wheel. Which were two of the rims I rashed, heh, so they got repaired as part of the insurance claim and they looked great.

I did it again to a front rim in an auto touchless carwash with a god damn guide rail on the passenger side (how the shit am I supposed to judge this?)... last time I use one of those POS's. Anyways, since the last two times it's been done well at the dealership I called them up, described the damage and they said the guy who does it for them would likely charge $150 and need the rim for a couple days. Without the option of getting a loaner wheel I can't do it, but $150 sounds about right. The entire thing needs to be refinished.

Maybe I should see if I can get this done next week... although with it being like it is I haven't rashed anything else in almost a year. Maybe I should leave it before I curse myself, haha.

Search this wheels forum. There is a guy who fixed his at home with I believe a dremel, some body puddy, various grades of sandpaper, midnight silver paint and clearcoat. He did an awesome job and it did not look to be that hard either. They came out great. It's been awhile back, but you should be able to find the thread.

locations around the country. It cost me $100 to fix one wheel. It takes a couple hours. It looked like new afterward.

Really? I contacted the Austin branch and they quoted me $150 and said they would need the wheel for a couple of days
