Z28 VS ZL1 VS ZR1
Has anyone driven all three of these cars to compare their driving characteristics?
The 2014 Z28 drives like a slot car in my opinion - does not wander on the highway as predicted by some of the car mags. Acceleration is terrific, braking and handling is phenomenal - I am very impressed. 2012 ZL1 feels heavy and sluggish in my opinion compared to the Z28 - mind you we have an automatic transmission in ours. I drove it a couple of weeks ago. I will get a second opinion on it from my son who drives it daily. ZR1 handling and braking is definitely comparable to the Z28. I have not driven the ZR1 for some time - it is a 2009. But I will tell all of you - I was not expecting a Camaro to handle as well as a Corvette - let alone a ZR1. Sound fro the Z28 sounds great out of the box - usually it takes a while for the mufflers to sound very throaty and deep - again, just my opinion. Are there any other opinions on this out there ? |
