Why are you selling?

I'm assuming the pistons are for a 4" crank and 6.125 rods.

We pushed horsepower to around 1700 and the head gaskets began to leak again. ERL said we need to O-ring the block. ERL is back logged and estimated 12-16 weeks before delivery if they do it. Since I already missed the spring Texas mile this would put us dangerously close to missing the Oct event also.

I elected to purchase an iron LSX 427 block. My crank, cam, heads will all fit and the O-ringing is much easier on a solid iron block I am told. I should have the block within a week and can start building it again. Once the engine is in we need to fine tune this compound boost project. Plan to go over 200 mph on compound boost in Oct.

I considered keeping the ERL block for a spare but then I really need to purchase another set of heads and the matching set would still have to be O-ringed because I'm thinking I may be able to make as much as 2000 hp. I just decided that as much work as ERL has, maybe someone else is looking for 1200 whp or less and would be willing to buy the block at a discount.

Yes the pistons are designed for a 4" stroke.

I assume pistons have valve reliefs to accomodate the 12 degree valve angle? Also, rings or no rings, and are the studs included or not?
thanks

I don't know the exact design of the pistons, when everything comes out I'll post some pics. The rings will definitely be included. I was thinking I could re-use the studs in my next block.

You're running the TF 255 heads right? If so, then that's what I have as well.

I'm pretty sure you are correct, Trick Flow 255 sounds right. I ordered them right out of the summit racing catalog if that helps....

Is this still available and if so, would you consider selling without the Pistons?

I have a deposit to hold the block until the buyer can come take a look at it. If he decides he doesn't want it I'll put up pics.

Sure, I will sell it without the pistons if this other party backs out. As soon as I know something I will post it here.
