Need some fuel system expert advice
So I have a 2011 SS. Fully built lq9. 2.8 kB, 90lb injectors. etc. Swapped a Lonnie’s drop in double pump, a few years back, which is basically a ctsv pump. I just recently put in the deatschwerks dw300c (340lph) pumps to increase ability. I’m still having fuel pressures drop to 45 at wot. The car still has a stock fpcm and fuel lines. Thoughts.

Reading on hptuners, the stock ss pump with the ss Fpcm flashed with the zl1 Fpcm data falls on its face past 6000rpm. Is your ss Fpcm flashed with the zl1 or maybe the ctsv data?

Would a BAP help in this case?

Reading on hptuners forum, The programming in the ss Fpcm causes the fuel pressure to drop from 58 psi to 49 psi at 3000 rpms and up. Flashing it with the zl1 programming the ss Fpcm carries the 58psi thru 6000 rpms. not sure what the findings were with bap.

Can the Stock FPCM supply the amps needed for the 340s? Also how well do they work with a PWM type of speed adjustment.
That’s why most people eliminate the FPCM and go with a regulated returned style. I am running a ZL1 pump NO BAP with the fuel pressure set 450(65psi) at every RPM. Also a DSX Auxiliary fuel pump set to turn on at 4 psi. With the ID1050x fuel injectors and VP E85 she holds steady at 65 psi. I am putting down 684RWHP with going through a TH400. |

I’m running LQ9 and whipple. I run dual Fore, eliminated FPCM, BAP, ... never had an issue since. Rock solid fuel pressure throughout.

1. Get rid of the FPCM and pick up a Vaporworx controller they work great I'm still running mine with my Fore innovations dual 450s. 2. Run your current pumps in a return style 3. Depending on your power goals step up to a full fuel system. As I said I have done the exact same thing you did. Let me know if you have any questions. |
