Well, to recap, I went into a dealer about an hour from my house because they said they had a '13 2SS/RS with NAV in Black and that was what I was looking for. When i got there, I saw the 1LE. They said I could get the exact car in Auto... and they'd send me a quote... My red flags were up and you guys confirmed my suspicions.

Well, I got the quote from the sales lady and it was supposed to be for an auto 1LE (which was impossible) and this was the quote....ready....

2013 2SS Convertible with no RS package, Nav and you guessed it... no 1LE. She COMPLETELY disregarded everything I asked for and ignored her auto 1LE claim.

LOL! I think it's funny but I'm still going to try and milk it for what it's worth. Maybe they'll smooth it over somehow.

On a side note, seeing the 1LE in person got me thinking... Do I want a 1LE?

I was after an auto for easy driving and for my gf but now I've started reading about the AFM drone, especially with aftermarket exhausts and it's really turned me off.

Could the 1LE work for me? I'm very into making the car a faster more stabile car. But at the same time, I'm the type to enjoy 22" wheels and lowering it an inch and doing some tasteful cosmetic mods... and was going to do some bolt on performance mods.

I haven't ever tracked a car. Mind you, I've never had a car to track... I'm definitely interested in it. But still, the majority of driving will be on the road.

So, I'm just looking for some opinions on my best options... the 1LE is there... I can't find just a 2SS/RS around here right now...

Fair enough but seeing it may have swayed me. I just dont want to get it and waste it by putting different wheels on it and not tracking it regularly...

Will it be nice on the street as a daily driver? Can the same mods be done to it without affecting the factory modifications? Like lowering it..??

This thread is not moot. It proves that Manuals are superior to Auto. Hence the reason 1LE's only come in Manual... J/K. I just wanted to see the A6 guys get all butt hurt

I mean, these are some of the mods I had planned. Would these make sense with the 1LE? Or would it detract from it's whole purpose.

ACS Camaro T3 Bumper Assembly
RPI Designs ZL1 Style Splitter
Havoc Rear Diffusor and Side Rockers
MPD1 Hood
Pfadt Lowering Springs
22" Wheels/tires
Aftermarket Exhaust

Would these type of mods be better suited to a regular 2SS?

And how stiff is the ride? Is it actually bad, where being a daily driver isn't a good idea? Or is it exaggerated?

I'm just trying to get as much info and knowledge as I can. I'm very into cars but my knowledge for technical aspects is definitely lacking.

22inch wheels definitely dont make sense on a 1LE. Everything else looks like personal preference. I havent seen any 1LE owners on here complain about the ride. The 1LE is made for roadcourse racing. If you dont plan on doing that an SS should be fine.

I knew the wheels would be an issue... But I could put the 20s on if/when I decide to track it...

As far as any of the other mods go... Do they all work with the 1LE? I know it's an SS but I just wanna make sure.

Like, the gfx... It's all standard ss mounting? I can just remove the gfx and install my own?

I'm no expert but all those mods should be fine for an SS or an SS/1LE.

Well, I'm going to pull the trigger and order a 1LE!!!!

2013 Camaro 2SS
- Black
- 1LE Performance Package
- Rally Sport Package
- Navigation

Do I have to specify I want the 1LE wheels and not the RS wheels... Or do they just ship with the 1LE wheels?

When you order the 1LE, the black wheels come with it. (look up the 1LE performance package, to become familiar)

Did you check out the dual mode exhaust? Might be worth checking out before you finalize the order
