How long is normal for the LLT to crank?

My LLT with 91,000 miles takes about 2 seconds of cranking over before firing up. Is this normal? My wife's Aztek With 170,000 only cranks for a 1/2 second or less.

I bought the car with 89,000 on it, so I have no reference point for whether or not this is normal.

Not typical for mine. I think maybe once it took a bit longer but normally just a split second.

When it's cold outside I auto start mine. I've had to crank it for 2 seconds when it's cold, as a matter of fact, it seems my battery is getting weaker. I have an 11 bought in Nov. 2010 with 72500 miles. It could be your battery is getting weaker also.

I agree that the cold weather does impact the crank time. My 2011 with 84k does crank more than 1.5sec in the cold. Started her up yesterday in the garage after a close to zero night, and took a good 2 second.

Got down in the teens here the other night, the next day it was like crank pause crank start.... Still the OEM battery, guess it's due for replacement.

2 sec for me. Thats normal.

Take into account how long a second is. 0.5 sec from turning the key to on is extremely quick.

In Mississippi measurements, that's "1 Mississ".
