grind back. wow!
ok. so I have less than a 1000k on this new tranny GM put in again! ive lost count on how my iv had put and and rebuilt. its the 4th i believe.
So I was wondering with the dual mass fly wheel be causing this issue? I can tell the fly wheel is going bad cause you can head the noise it makes. clutch never slips and everything shifts fine but if you get near redline or above the shift is real notchy. im going to be easy on this untill i figure out the real issue with this damn notchy and grind shifting! |

Most likely a hydraulics issue that isn't being addressed. The odds of having 4 straight clutches that are bad are astronomical.

And have they resurfaced the flywheel or checked it with each new clutch?

Idk if they even check the clutch. They only rebuild or replace the tranny. I think they blame my driving. I'm not hard on it. Even if I was the tranny should last longer!

I had royal purple in mine, made no difference. Works for some, not others I guess.

Check out the master cylinder thread ... I have the v6 too and the modified cylinder fixed my issue.

Guys...the issue is high rev shift going into second gear. The 2nd gear simply cannot take it. Anything above 6200 rpm and grind... See if carbon fiber synchros are available and get the idealg fix. My tranny is getting fix and I plan on ordering the modified cylinder.
