How much does it weigh? What's the weight roughly of cars in this class?

I like how GM wants to get a ton of feed back on the Copo car but no numbers of horsepower or weight and nothing is even proven.

One show car built...one engine combo built...another engine package in development...likely much more to come..."What do you think?"

GMPP requires feedback and interest/intent, and more details will follow as development continues. Being hand-built by Pratt & Miller, the rolling chassis will NOT be priced to compete/fit in the Camaro's "production" lineup...it will, instead, be priced competitively with the Cobra Jet and the Drag Pack, and apparently orderable from GMPP.

As to Curb Weight, and their stated intent to run up-Class Stock or Super Stock, a ready-to-run number should be about mid-3s...3,400-3,500-3,600. The Base weight should be less to allow ballast to be added, again depending on engine combo/Class run. And remember, these Classes are Pounds/"rated" HP, so a severe diet is NOT required. Keep weight off the front end, and keep it in the rear.

A 1SS Curbs @ 3850 (LS3/MN6). Delete all the DOT things not needed, add the roll-cage/safety features; delete the IRS and add a 9"; delete production front suspension and add the racin' stuff. Wheels/tires/hood etc.

As to "prove-ability", P & M know how to build race cars and GM Powertrain and their "consultants" know how to build power...you can bet these'll be "competitive".

With that said, we have fully dressed, with cages, Camaro's running low low low 10's. Two at Pony Wars and ran 10.1

Surely the COPO can do better than that, right? Reason I ask is I see the times for class you posted.

Well..."rated" or "factored" hp has a way of being LESS than "actual"...

High tens & 126-127 traps with a little over 600hp and a 1.46 60'. What do you all think.

For some reason I see a 370 and a big turbo in this car. Is there a possibility of buying this as a roller?

High 10s isnt even in the ball park for what this car needs to or WILL run. I run a 71 Chevelle in C/SA with a 365 hp 454 weighing 3455 and can run 10.80s at 121 all day long. I dont make 600hp and cut 1.43-1.47 60s consistently. In the right persons hands with good weather and track prep , An A/S car will be a solid low 10 high 9 stocker as long as GM doesnt release ridiculous numbers to NHRA for the horsepower rating.

I was referring to the estimate of the graph and specs posted by PC Hotrod. I was going to post that it should be in the low 9s to low 10s in the classes they are up against A/S and AA/S.

I'd like to see the chart with the powerglide 2 speed auto and a taller gear out back. Like 5.10
