We will be making the drive and helping to coordinate as many spots along the way to meet up with other groups

I say we all try and coordinate with as many people as we can so that way we can get as many people in the meet ups as possible. i also heard a good idea, notifying local law enforcement that we will be coming through.

post a map with a few local meeting starting points and get a rough time of when you will be at certain points so that people know where to fall in line at when yall roll through. look at the camarocan from the south thread and the coutheast caravan thread. itll haelp build yalls convoy. hope this helps.

I'm working with the Texas group right now. I put a link to my map in their thread. By meeting up with them we add 4 hours to our trip but cruise with them like 1/3 of the way, i'm alright with that but I don't know if others will be. So far we are looking at 41 hours of drive time (probably like 3-4 hours less than that due to exhibition of speed lol).

I think the idea was to NOT notify local PD, so they aren't waiting for us to write tickets.

I personnaly will be looking to get there in the most direct route possible and pick up people if it doesn't add time to the trip. When you start adding a few hours here and 4 hours there to meet this group or another group, you're going to be in for some very long days. As it is, 2100+ miles is 2 1/2 solid days of driving, not counting stops. And speeding is not always an option depending on the state, there are lots of cops/troopers hiding in center dividers and the bushes that love out of state plates. Have a good radar/laser detector.

Oh, i figured notifying them would make them show some grace. I have never driven this far or even cross state so i don't know the best way to go about it. I'm not talking about going to far our of our way more than once, i was thinking like just a meet up near the end so that we can all roll the rest of the way together. But if you think that id regret it then please let me know. Like i said, this is my first out of state venture so i don't know what i'm doing lol.

I just had an idea about the police, send them a map of the wrong rout.

I will not be making the long trip, my old body can't take a long trip, but going and meeting everyone in Vegas sounds good. I love Vegas its a fun place to party and hang out.

There has been some brief discussion from a few of us that might rent a car hauler and tow a few Camaros out there. Last year was a blast and some people drove to Phoenix from Virginia so I don't see how a few of us can't make it out from Cali. I personally don't want to drive in my car the whole way. Atleast I have a few months to figure it out.

Would love to go to C5fest this year. I've missed out on the first two because I've been deployed. I will most likely miss out on this one this year because I will just be barely getting back from Afghanistan at the beginning of August.
