Looks like the maf plugs into that harness and it seperates the IAT from the maf to make it like the ls1 harness, then you move the IAT sensor to a cooler place. It makes sense, but in the end your still tricking the ecm.

if you get the ADM intake, street or race, the MAF sensor is tucked away behind the heatshield, eliminating heat soak.

Its not "tricking" the ECM if it reads the real air inlet temperature.

Why Can't the MAF Read Real Air Inlet Temp, It is reading actual air flow, and all the calibration tables in the factory tune are set for this exact set up.

If you change it, Makes perfect sense you would have to change the Air temp Fuel and Timing modifiers accordingly in the tune, then net result will be the same as factory, optimized timing and fueling.

So In essence you Are Tricking the ECM to add timing and take away fuel.

In my experience GM is now Keeping timing right on the edge of perfect, and they are not leaving us anything on the table, of coarse UNLESS you change out Parts.

Extra Timing the engine does not need WILL lead to a Shorter Life, and pound the bearings and Rings right out of the motor.

Ted.
