I don't have any coilovers but do have Hotchkis lowering springs. I also have the 3" magnaflow exhaust as well.

Some posts makes this sound easy....some make is sound like it will take a while.

I'll also be changing out to some sway bars at the same time. Not that it really matters other than it sounds like I'll need to plan for most of the day to do them both.

With 3" exhaust back there you'll probably have to move it. It's easy to do. When I did mine I had to drop the LCAs off of the struts AND the end links. So do the sway bar last but take the end links off first.

Different set-ups will make for different installs. Try it without undoing the struts first. I suspect you'll want to take them loose. You'll be doing the end links anyway.

Basically, other than the cradle bolts the only thing that will hold the entire rear assembly up are the struts and the end links. Both on the LCAs. Some have been able to squeez the inserts on the rear mounts. I couldn't. So I had to release the end links and struts on the LCAs.

The exhaust will need to be lowered. And you can't lower it because the tips will hang on the rear diffuser.

Try it first without undoin the LCAs and if it's still too tight then take them loose.

OK....another question I meant to ask. More of a clarificaiton thing.

In the post #5 it says to use a 15/16 socket. I thought I remebered it calling for a 23mm socket. Can anyone confirm which socket is need?

24mm

You may want to find a pipe. Lol

Might be a 22 mm but it's one of the 2. I believe 24mm

I did a quick conversion and 24mm = .944881". Looks like 15/16 might be the same.

That I don't know. But those things are on there pretty tight. Don't go too loose of a socket.

Depends if you call it work. To me it's fun.

But, I duppose it also depends on wether you drive it hard or not.

Which is 23.8125mm, or the equivalent to a 24mm socket.

I'd just be carefull to make sure it's a tight enough fit to not strip the bolthead. They are tight as hell.

So...both are rounded to .94".

Like I said...I remembered it being a metric socket but in post #5 he says to use a 15/16. I'm going to see if I can locate either the 15/16 or 24mm toinight and just try a test fit if I can.

It's a 24mm. The 15/16 would be the improvise. But will probably work. It's pretty damn close. The bigger the socket the better the grab if you have to use the different system.
