I would suggest correcting the quarter tank for those that are supercharged or heavily n/a. The location of the fuel pump combined with a solid launch could cause the fuel pump to starve. Minimum requirement is a half tank, but as mentioned in another post 3/4 or full is preferred

Damn I had some stuff written up and backed out of it so now I have to retype it...well someone can haha, here is the points I had

-Turn A/C Off before getting to the staging lanes, preferably before you even get to the track
-Get out of groove and stop incase of a break
-Practice Practice Practice
-Deep Staging
-Bracket Racing(Dial in and break out)
-Heads up racing
-Classes

There's really no reason for any of us to deep stage. Its closer to red lighting and you cant get any momentum. Stage shallow and you'll have some team already built up when you trip the lights. Better 60'd and lower ET's.

I try and barely light the bulbs. Just make them flicker. That way I know I'm giving myself every opportunity to make a good pass.

Doing this you can leave on the 2nd light and never red light while also getting killer R/T.

I do this everytime. I index race the same way. Doesn't matter which way you are doing it as long as your consistent. If you dial in with a time shallow stagging you'll prob be slower with staging deep.

No-I'm not saying RT affects ET -so please no one get started on that -subject beaten up already.
You're the bracket champ so I take your word. Usually local events don't run a pro tree so I try and just do exactly the same thing pass after pass.

Yeah, that's what I meant to say. Talking while texting..... Just don't do it.. No head start = slower ET.

Excellent post. Good refresher for those who have never done a drag race or hasn't been to the track in a long time (like myself). For those with autos, what do most favor to turn off in terms of the nannies to get the best times?
