At first, I didn't like it -- but it's growing on me, too. I'd do it if it was cheaper. My kids would go NUTS over it.

Vertical Doors

I have them on Mine, You can open the doors normally if you want. they don't open ALL the way but plenty to get in and out of with no problem whatsoever. Vertical doors did it right, I would not order from anyone else. Call Vertical Doors themselves they will give you better pricing. As far as the "RICE" look, if you have an SS it is "RICE" because of the fake mail slot and fake gills. I don't think anything on a camaro is "RICE" i just hate the term for a camaro. This is a GM product not an Asian product. The car performs as advertised. I do show my car and the only time I open the doors vertically is at the show and when I'm on a trailer. Here's a few pics. go to this thread http://camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=79578&page=3 #57
The door does not sway very much at all with 25-30 mph winds and index's fine. They did not have to cut any wires at all either. It's not for everyone. Its about a 3 hour install.

I like the way way they look personally. Despite what anyone else thinks they just look cool to me. After watching Vertical Doors' video demonstration my kids and I agreed that that may be the closest thing to my TFE actually appearing to transform. My issues would be
1-Convincing my wife to let me get them
2-Finding someone I trust to install them without charging a fortune
3-Praying that the windows stay sealed when it rains(do they ever leak)

I had lambos on the honda I had years ago (yes, I had a honda, no I am not proud, I drank ALOT back then) They were really attention getting, but the hinges were very heavy, which didn't matter for my 55hp honda, but if you are wanting speed it would add alot of weight. If speed is not a concern, I say its your ride, do whatever tickles your pickle. And if you get a bolt on kit that fits the car it is not as hard as you would think. The worse thing is extending the wiring to the door, if you even have to

I do not like the look at all but I have a small single car garage and these would ease the in and out when in the garage. If there was an option to open the door normally when out and about and then flip a switch for vertical open I would get one of these on the driver side in a heartbeat.

It takes a few hours to put these on. You have to roll the fenders after you take them off, put popsicle sticks to retain your gaps on the doors with tape. remove your stock hinges install these. It retains everything stock. If you want to go back to original....swap them out. they are not difficult and I would have to say are built well from (Vertical Doors). Satisfied customer I don't work for them. Any body shop can install these if they know how to take a fender off. Yes they will open normally I only open them at car shows. and yes the windows operate normally and index as advertised.

I like them, if I ever have the money, I'll do it
Some don't like it but really, to each their own. This is YOUR car, if you like it, go for it!

Lambo is italian, not sure how their doors are rice? I'm italian, never had anyone call me rice. I wouldn't want them on my car (I think I would hit the garage door getting out the car!) but I think they're neat.

At least they look much better on a Camaro vs a Honda.
