Same here... I was backing out of a spot, turned the wheel not knowing I was so close and gouged the rim a bit (on the lip). I'm all ears on how to fix it.

Depending on the severity of the scratch, I don't see anything short of polishing the metal to the depth of the scratch so that everything is evened out making it go away... :(

I hardly rubbed the curb either... and it's gouged pretty good. I must have done it one other time and not noticed because there's two spots. But the latest one I knew it when it happened.

Aside from that I have an odd scratch on my hood, and now a new gouge by the trunk from a stroller. So I'll need to buff those out too.

Google mobile wheel repair.

Happened to me in a brushless car wash... replacing the wheels, repairing the scratched ones while they're removed.

I hate to hear that.. We have a company here that does alloy repair - it's like a mobile detailer. Cost varies on the amount of damage. Good luck.

If it's not to bad a Dremel works real good ... Use a sanding barrel to smooth it, then a polish wheel and compound to make it look like new ...

What was the cost for this service?

I would suggest contacting your dealer to see who they use to fix mistakes like that. I had a 04 Z16 ZO6 Corvette and a local dealership was doing some service work and they scratched a wheel and they had a business that fixed it and it was like new when I got it back.

If you're dealing with OE wheels, they're clearcoated, so perhaps you only scratched the clearcoat.

Thanks for all the great ideas. I am a little nervous about doing this myself so I'll ask the dealership who they use. The business they use for the tinted window and stripes did mine and they are awesome. They even copied my tat for the decal on the top of the windshield, uh I had a sketch of it that it was made from and they copied that. I didn't bare my tramp stamp at the shop, LOL.

I still can't get used to the length or width of my camaro. My prior cars were much smaller...
