I would take that CTS-V, ZL1 is really nice and im a Camaro guy, but the CTS-V has power and its classy luxury, something the ZL1 isn't, plus eventually you will start seeing a lot of ZL1's shortly after they come out and how often do you see a CTS-V (I rarely do, but you might see more, idk).
Just my two cents

The 4-door will likely make you yearn to stop at the grocery store more often with a yellow sweater tied around your neck. Just wait for bad azz.

I would definitely go for the ZL1. I just don't get the CTS-V. I know it can put out some power, but I just think it's ugly.

CTS-V Coupe. If I could have afforded one over the Camaro I would have gotten one, but the Camaro 2SS was at the top of my spending limit.

Glad to hear you came away from this in pretty good shape - it sounds like it could have been a lot worse!
I think you need to spend some time behind the wheel of a CTS-V before you make your final decision. It's a completely different animal than what the ZL1 will be and I think investing that time will go a long way towards helping you make the decision. If you want subtlety, invisibility, quiet and refinement while driving under the radar, while at the same time maintaining the ability to go like a rocket, consider the V. The vast majority of people don't recognize them for what they are... and are clueless when they see one on the road - maybe because there are simply not that many around. On the other hand, if you prefer the in-your-face, visceral qualities that the ZL1 will no doubt provide (especially with that amazing exhaust sound!) and enjoy the "hey, look at me" attention-getting factor, then wait for the ZL1. That being said, it looks like the ZL1 might be a bit quicker, and more performance oriented. I'm sure you'll get your priorities worked out and make the decision that's best for you. Best regards, Elie

It’s comments like this that do nothing but piss me off. Why do we have the need to sue everybody for everything in this country? If the guys medical bills are being taken care of, and he is getting his vehicle replaced, there is no need to sue anybody.
