M6 shifter diagram, need to order parts

I need to order some OEM parts so that I can install my MGW shifter.

1. does anyone know where I can find a parts diagram so I can identify exactly what I need?

2. does anyone have suggestions on where I can order from? Dealership maybe?

I need the pin that goes at the bottom of the shifter and a couple of retaining clips.

The original stock pin cannot be ordered separately...It comes with the complete shifter assembly which is quite ridiculous. Had the same problem as you and finally got lucky on the forum here and another member had one. The thing you can try is to contact George at MGW. If you have an MGW pin it will fit their newest style of shifters but he would have to send you different bushings for the shifter. The MGW pin is slightly smaller than OEM.

that pin and clips are not directly for the bottom of the shifter....its the pin and clips that connect the shifter arms to the trans...I bought them also and its not the right part.

What do you mean they're not the right parts? Those are what I needed. Clips were damaged removing current shifter and pin is the wrong size on current shifter. (Stupid MTI shifter doesn't use the OEM pin and mine got lost.)

If you need the pin that goes directly into the bottom of the shifter then the one you ordered is too small....look at the diagram again....the pin you ordered is the pin that connects the shifter fork to the transmission...there is another fork under the shift boot but you cant see it in the diagram... it looks the same but its smaller in diameter...don't know why GM would do that but i am not surprised..I Feel your pain...trust me this drove me nuts for weeks..
