Gas cap location Poll...
I'm curious as to what the majority of people want GM to do with that gas cap. Some want it on top, some think the side is better, some don't care. What do you think? Cast your vote.

I would like it on the drivers side, on the top. Just as it is in the concept. Too bad its on the passenger side and on the side... As far as the prototype goes. Thats that last spot I would want it. Even if it was on the drivers side like most GM cars I would be happy.

Sorry boys, I had to be the oddball here. If it is indeed a cost-cutting measure (which I suspect it may have something to do with it) - then I'm all for GM's decision; as I want as much money as possible going into the powertrain, suspension, and the interior materials. So I "could care less"
Having said that - the concept's filler door location was very nice. And looked awesome. Would I say no to that? Hell no! Also - I know this is being discussed elsewhere - but the passenger/driver side thing is sort of a silly argument. Because there probably was no decision in the matter - it's a global car, so if the rest of the world mandates passenger side, then we have to get it, too. Hey, look at it this way - You'll be in the minority as far as gas-cap locations go, so...There'll probably be 'more' open pumps for you, then the other guys! . |

Care less, its a car not a custom piece of art to sit in the garage.

As long as I can fill the tank, I don't care what side of the car I have to fill.

Yeah don't get me wrong, if its not on the drivers side\top then its no big deal to me. Thats just what I would prefer. More concerned with issues involving the motor and price.

Of course we'd love it on the top like the concepts, but do you remember why it isn't there? Scott let us know it was for the crash test regulations. This will be an extremely high volume car, and as with any extremely high volume car, safety is first. I could care less about crash test ratings, personally, but the average consumer... blah, blah, blah...

Scott has already said that the reason the cap was relocated was due to fire hazards, so we should probably let it go.
