Hello. New at this forum thing. Summer only camaro SS convertible and wondering whether to have it sprayed with krown before putting in garage for winter?

Don't do it. The rustproofing process actually drills holes where a once sealed panel was, allowing oxidation and a place for salt to get in and sit, forever, or until it eats through the panel and you have another hole...
If you drive and see salt residue on the road, try to clean it off with a water hose ASAP. |

Chris401,
a good hand wash and wax with a good quality cover along with stabilizer in the fuel tank and either a trickle charger for the battery or do a negative terminal disconnect in the trunk are the basics for storage. There are plenty of "storage" threads recommendations.I don't think the rust proofing is necessary and my dealer did not recommend such when I asked for a storage procedure list and rust proofing was not on the list. |

I live in NH and garage Nov thru April. No rustproofing needed, only dust on the metal after almost 3 years. But then again, I never take OV out in the rain either. :-)
