Paid sticker for my 2013 VERT but dealer initially wanted 10K over sticker. I spoke loudly enuf that all in show room.heard me as I headed for the door. We finally agreed on sticker-cash deal. Very happy with dealer sales/service after the sale

One thing people tend to forget is that its the dealers decision and right to mark them up if the want too, If you don't like it find another dealer. Pretty simple if you ask me

I have not met anybody yet who has paid that kind of markup. I have had dealers tell me people were but then had the same dealer call me back later and offer me the same car at MSRP ha ha. what happened to the line of people willing to pay 10k over?

To some people 10k is nothing. to me it is just a principle thing. I could have paid 65k for a car but why? I would rather spend a few days shopping and save 10k.

then again shipping a car to me is not big deal ~800 open ~1300-1500 enclosed. I will buy a car from florida if it is 10k cheaper and ship it. on a direct order courtesy deliver cost me $250.

some people just want to walk into the closest dealer and buy. they may only have one alocation or something and to those people sometimes they believe that paying 10k over is the only option.

I ordered from the same dealer 69NMYSS in 2012 for MSRP. when i got pushed to 2013 I used the availibility of the 2013GT500 to force them down to supplier price if they would not have I would be driving a GT500 right now.

the market does dictates the price but the market to me is the whole US not just 50 miles from my house. I think I could find a ver allocation@msrp in 1days on the interent.

I have had about 7 dealers swear to me that this was market price for the car though but I think they are smoking crack. then again maybe poeple do pay it.

According to edmunds.com True Market Value for a 2013 ZL1 Camaro in my area (defined as all Chevy dealers within 100 miles of my zip code) is $1,000 over MSRP. They define True Market Value as the average price paid, so that could equal one customer paying $5K over sticker and four others paying MSRP.
