And it has to be the style where the actual gauge mounting hole faces are angled toward the driver!

If someone made something functional for that spot I would definitely buy it...but too much work for me to make something that can cover the whole completely (gotta make sure nothing falls down that hole)

Now that it has been mentioned a few times. Who is going to build us the gauge pod, and what gauges are going to mount in this location. Some of us already have the four gauges below. I can understand one being for boost if you run boost. But what else do we need to monitor. I like the idea of placing the dash hawk in this location. Scrming will it fit and look right?

I like the original guy's idea (he was suggesting using it for a stash spot) although not for drugs. But for well anything. I have the 4 gauge pack, and the HUD, i don't need any more gauges. However, since I have the 4 gauge pack, i have little room for other things. If someone forms a nice holder in there with some kind of easy snap lid or something, i could use it for all sorts of stuff; loose change for example.
That's just my opinion. I would buy that, i would not buy a gauge pod |

Ok... actually i bet you could get 3 gauges... Boost, A/F and Fuel (for the SS guys). With our DI i don't think we'll see fuel gauge... so not sure what I would do in the 3rd... hmmmm remote radar detector! LOL

Okay read the whole thread and went after it. The speaker cover had plastic clips on the right and metal on the left. The metal clips are different and are one-way in that they are not really designed to be removed. I broke off one of the plastic tabs on the speaker cover because if the metal clip. And i know how to remove interior panels so no, it was not due to being reckless. Beware: if you have metal clips on your cover be careful! So anyway after that I played with the stereo with and without the speaker connected. I agree with those that say all it does is keep the cent speaker from drowning out the stereo sound. I think the center speaker sound kicks off the windshield and is too overpowering. I wish i had control over it's power because I think e system would be better with it connected. But as has been said on here already, it is just too loud and obnoxious. Overall verdict: left it disconnected.

Stupid metal clips. So,ething got messed up on that side of my grille during the process. I don't know what, but now the side with the metal clips sticks up a little bit...kind of annoying

Same thing happened to me. Pull the grill back out, bend that side of grill downwards (don't worry it wont break unless you use too much force) and put it back in.

On a side note...Who's going to come up with a compartment holder or something for the center speaker spot...i am thinking sunglasses holder with a button that pops up the top? I'd buy that... |
