Best oil for hot weather?

Hi

I need to change the oil very soon the 1st time. I still have the factory oil in. What is the best oil for hot to very hot weather? I use the car in hot and very hot weather condition only - from 80 to +100°F. Car is L99.

Regards from Mexico.

Stick with the recommendations in the manual (5W-30 I believe) and youi'll be fine.

Absolutely..5W 30. I use the same Mobil 1 and even use a delco filter. It seems to be the best thing to use, and its what the dealership uses so if/when issues arise, there is no way that they can question your maintenance.

Consider 10-30w as the 5 is for cold areas and mpg...we run 10-30 M 1...
