The trinity tune and the predator tune are one and the same. The trinity just has extra bells and whistles. Visit the Diablo website for fmore info.

Currently there is a real downside with either Diablo for the L99. The transmission tune is not availble. IMO, the transmission tune is the most significant performance enhancer for the L99. Diablo says they are working on it, but has yet to deliver.

I don't really know which is best, because I think the differences are really personal preferences. You can get a local tuner to do it for you, you can get a handheld like Superchips or SCT, or you can buy from Vector Motorsports which requires you have a laptop. All should be good choices depending on what you want.
My question is about combining the handheld with the tune from a local shop. The local shop should be able to do a transmission tune, so if I have an SCT or even Diablo can the local tuner enable me to modify his tranny tune or return to stock with my handheld? In the words of Jannety, the handheld is just a way through the door to the ECM. Again, I don't know. |

From what I've been reading and hearing as far as handhelds, the SCT is the way to go. I'm not sure about the others but the SCT doea offer the ability to tune the trans, which is just as, if not, more important the the ecm tuning. Call Jannetty tommorrow if you can and he will tell you the best way for your needs. He also extended the free custom tune for anyone who purchases a SCT tuner from him. Thats def the way to go. Gd luck, but you won't need it with Ted and the helm.
