Special ZL1 grill installation?
Hey guys, just ordered a ZL1 grill to replace the stock egg crate. Is there a HOW-TO on grill swaps like this? Do I need special tools for the ZL1 grill or is it just like any other grill swap. Talk to me like I'm 5 please.
ZL1 grill I ordered:

That's great news! I am worried about the, "RS" badge not filling in the space where, "ZL1" should be

It won't fit . It'll go over it but without a cover plate you'll still be able to see the ZL1. You can get a cover plate for like $10 from emblem pros they're a vendor here . Otherwise there's no other modifying you have to do. But you will have to take your whole bumper off which is relatively easy

All GM ZL1 grill come with the ZL1 imprinted in them, you can put the RS logo over it with out a plate if you use 3M tape to cover the RS emblem.

6 years later but ta-da! (No I was not in jail). The grill is out of the garage & installed successfully. Hopefully I don't take another six years to get my RS emblem back on.
