got the car, now i know what is all about

this thing kicks butt, granted it is my first stick and my first real sports car, so i did not get crazy with it. went to a deserted lot and my best bud taught me the whole coming out of first trick. which always got me while driving his vettes. i feel comfortable driving it and a couple hours of driving. now i need to read the manual. can't find where the fog loght switch is . is there also a way to make the screen not say navigation? it is distracting, i would like to just have a blank screen. for those not in the know, a guy lost his job and i got his car last week. i got the windows tinted and they went thru 2 sets of stripes today because of the humidity i guess. hopefully by next fri i have stripes. car looks mean with out them and will look meaner with them. i feel like a little kid talking about a car. i even got no dealer stickers and i have all the build sheet paper. unmolested like the window sticker. pretty sweet. stats below.

cgm
2ss/rs
6spd
sunroof
black leather
black rally stripes

SS= no fog lights..they're the "DRL's" just turn your headlight dial to auto...
the nav screen can change. its either the trip button or something on the radio (since it's all one system)

congrats on the car!! can't wait till mine comes in.

i toggled the crap out of it. i left the dealer and went practice driving. so by tomorrow i should be calmer and be able to figure it out. thanks for the info on the fog lights. i looked in the book and looked all over for that damn button. oh well, the halo look sweet enough. also i traded in the truck. the plan is to get a house by the end of the year. and next summer, get a 2 door tahoe as a dd. always wanted one. and i guess it will be time to break the rule of only buying new. but i will have a new tou in the garage. the cgm on the camaro looks way better than on the vette. maybe it is just my eyes or the shape of the car. i will get some pics up on sat.

damn skippy. i had a guy in a dodge truck messing with me on the highway. he was laughing because he was trying to get me to get on it. but i am a newb stick shift guy. i put 40 miles on it tonight. and that is probably 5 times the miles i have ever driven my whole life with a standard. it is way fun. learning new tricks every few miles.
