Took it to the scale earlier today. 100% bone stock from the factory it weighs 3860. My weight reduced L99 was heavier!

Tonight I already installed my R1 concept rotors. I have a 21 lb Braille battery in the garage but debating on if I will put it in or not.

GM needs to establish the fact that we want to see the cars come in under 3500 lbs from the factory.

i always thought the Camaro weighs so much in order to not have a gas guzzler tax. I have no idea just thought that mite be why.

Isn't the gas guzzler tax based off of the combined fuel economy. 55% city and 45% highway driving. The weight of the vehicle (being less) would only help those numbers, thus avoiding the gas guzzler tax. Now since the Camaro weighs 4000 pounds they have to do silly things such as skip shift on LS3's, and AFM on the L99's. Thats my understanding on this. It makes sense if you compare our cars to C6 corvettes, which has an LS3 also. 700 pounds lighter and gets incredible fuel economy.

Never heard that before (maybe some guidelines for trucks or something).

If it were lighter, it would get better mpg....helping it to avoid the gg tax.
