After almost a year with AAC's LED parking/turn signals installed I have not had one single problem. Loving them.

OK I am doing this mod. Only I am installing the DIC in the wiring harness before the clip to the tail lights. The blinker works but It will not give me the running lights. but if I install the DIC at the side marker it works fine.. Is it something to do with the wire length between the DIC and the LED itself?

The DIC (Dual-intensity circuit) must be put in with the LED side marker to work correctly. Hope that helps. Here is the link to what I did: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=96213

The other nice thing about this option is now people will see you when you change lanes and hopefully avoid any accidents. Really easy to do and install. I wanted my side markers to look OEM so I took off my OEM covers and put them on AAC's LED side marker/turn signal.

I just installed my rear AAC side-marker lights with the DIC added, I tapped into the yellow/black on the drivers side and green/white for the passenger light as per the instructions posted on the first post?. The lights are working OK but the turn signals are not working at all. I wonder if the 2013 ZL1 wiring is different than the 2010 cars as per the instructions posted on the first post? I haven't tried the front yet, my fingers are killing me. Any suggestions?

First congrats on the ZL1.

It might be that the wiring is different on the 2013 ZL1 as I did it for a 2010/2011. What I did was use a 12V circuit tester and put the blinker lights on one side. I then tested each wire from the wiring harness on that side until I found the one that was making the circuit tester blink. I also understand about the fingers hurting. You can also test the DIC by just hooking up a 9V battery to the wire that is leaving the side marker for the DIC and the other end to ground.

Let me know what you find, and again congrats on the ZL1.

Peter

I have a 12' ZL1 and I ran the wires from the back to the front just because I didnt want the rear sidemarkers getting brighter with the brake lights.(Im picky) Anyways the front wires should work.

Also when I was installing one of the rear sidemarkers didnt work. I figured out that when I had put all the wire inside the sidemarker I broke one of the connections. Its something to check.

Good luck with it!

I like that Idea also because I really didn't want them coming on with the brake light. Was it a pain to run the wire all the way to the front? I was thinking maybe they didn't work yet is because I haven't done the front but I'm not sure. I think my biggest problem will be trying to get it through the trunk area with the convertible material in the way? Any suggestions? Thanks allot.

Im not sure about the convertable, I dont think it will be a problem though. I ran mine under the trunk mat, tucked it behind/around the rear seat, then into the door sill and through the fender. Then I tapped into the wire I ran for the front sidemarkers. Yes it is a bit of a pain but worth it in the end.

Ill take some pics later, nobody has yet to notice the extra wires.

Oh did you have your car "ON" when you were checking to see if they were blinking? The blinkers only work when the car is ON, but the hazards work all the time.

This is a great idea for the fronts, but some states it might be illegal for the rear markers to flash/change when braking. Still I wish I'd seen this thread before connecting my AAC side markers!
