100K mile mark hit!

Hi everyone!!!

First of all i want to introduce myself. I've been on this forms for like one year mostly helping people and buying stuff from members.

Now i think it's time start a thread for all the problems I've faced. Not sure how many of you hit the 100K mile mark but i found problems to my solutions in different places. So, i thought putting everything together would be a nice thing to do.

I drive a 2010 Camaro 1LT. With no modifications to the engine.

So, here it started.

1)
PROBLEM : Somewhere around 85K roughly. My A/C started to blowing out weird acidic smells and heat even when the system was turned off. I thought it was because of the new air freshener i bought. I left it with out trying to solve it. As a result my compressor died at 97K miles approximately.

REASON : Body Control Module needed reprogramming. Which was a Recall on 2011 Camaros. Here is the link i found the information from

http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=352971

SOLUTION: Bought the AC compressor and yet to getting it replaced by a mechanic.

The compressor costed me $158.16. It is a AC Delco part.

Here is the link for it on Amazon:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

It took me long time to find a quality part for a better price. So, for everyone who is looking to buy a AC compressor for less than $200. Above is the link.

I found a pretty good Mechanic in Boston area who would be doing the replacement and the recharge the AC for $160 bucks.

STILL NEED TO FIGURE OUT THE PRICE AND PLACE TO GET MY BODY CONTROL MODULE RE-PROGRAMMED

2) PROBLEM: REAR LEFT TURN SIGNAL LIGHT BULB NOT WORKING. This happened somewhere around 96-98k miles.

REASON: Bulb worn out.

SOLUTION: Bought a factory replacement bulb from autozone and replaced it.

Here is the link to locate the bulbs i needed to purchase :
http://www.autozone.com/electrical-a..._0_18269_4024/

Here is the link i used to find how to replace the bulbs:

http://www.carcarekiosk.com/video/20...rn_signal_rear

3) PROBLEM: Check Engine light on.

REASON: Two/One of the two O2 sensors is damaged. As a result the engine is not able to communicate with the oxygen levels. Which obviously resulted in reduced gas mileage and improper power production.

SOLUTION: I bought the O2 sensors online and still trying to figure out if i should replace them myself or reach a mechanic. ( I don't have a parking garage/parking place after i moved to MA from TX)

Here is the link i bought the O2 sensors from:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...=ATVPDKIKX0DER

Future things planned:

1) Complete cleaning of Intake valve and Intake Manifolds Manually
(Done with reference from a members work http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=328400)

2) Clean crank case with the use of liquid seam foam.
( (Done with reference from a members work http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=286229)

3) TPMS sensors installation (Gone when changed wheels)

4) Transmission fluid change

5) Differential/tranny fluid change

6) NS-1 Matte Black Stripes install.

7) Alloy Wheels dipped in Anthracite grey

8) Seat covers change to Black OEM cloth seats

That is all i can imagine as of now. Please let me know if i have to work on/change anything related to engine/transmission/suspension or anything else.

Thank you Camaro5. Thank you every member Camaro5. I wouldn't be a happy person with my car without Camaro5.

Thank you!

Yeah. I think the main things I'm worried about is the AC and the O2 sensors. I was saying to myself that these are common issues at this mileage.

I started this thread cause i faced a pretty hard time figuring out how to find parts for cheap. I was quoted $1800 for the AC compressor repair by 90% of the dealers.

So, i thought i would start a thread to help someone who is looking to get quality service done at an economical price which fits in their budget easily.
