Apex Catch can question

Hey guys I just had a quick question. I got my catch can installed at a shop down here in south Florida called Lashway Motorsports and I want to say that they were amazing they did excellent work! And I will recommend them every time to people in south Florida. However, due to me being curious. I see they installed the catch can in a different way that I haven't seen before. So I was wondering if this is ok? Aren't you supposed to replace the PCV line?

Thanks guys!

It's a L99 by the way and you can see it connects to the intake instead of the nipple in the back right of the engine.

Ya I compared it and their instructions say differently but I highly doubt that a highly recommended performance shop would install a catch can wrong.

Your not going to catch much oil that way. You want to be at the back of the throttle body like instructions show. I would compare that to being on the clean side. Unless you are boosted and have blowby I dont think your going to get much.

Assuming that's an Apex can, it's definitely NOT installed per their directions. I would ask Apex about this.

The L99 instructions for the Apex can definitely connect to a line near the firewall on the driver's side. Once it finally gets warm enough, I'll be installing mine from them on my L99.

Everybody makes mistakes and even great shops get it wrong some times. Check with Apex and if its wrong have it corrected, no biggie.

You could have done it yourself. One line goes to the tube under your throttle body. The other goes to the tube by your firewall like you said...and yes, it just replaces your pcv tube. Acts as a filter in between the tube.
