Hood pins or No hood pins in seibon hood

I am installing my seibon BBII hood and cant decide wether I should install hood pins or not. I am getting the carbon hood painted, and the painter said I really need to have safety pins??? The only ones I saw and kinda like were the mr gasket pins with steal lanyard, but I am not sure....GIVE ME YOUR OPINIONS!!!!

they are good to have for safety reasons, but if they use the stock latch, you shouldn't NEED them.

I sometimes like they way they look, but NOT on new cars because they are useless, aftermarket hoods almost always use factory hinges and latches, and if they dont, you can mod them to.

Its silly to use hood pins, and you probably dont need them.

What i have been wanting to do is get a cf hood then paint it back to body color but leave the stripes cf, i think thats a sick look, or you could even paint them with transparent paint(kandy) i did that a while back and it was sick, but if you do use all house of kolor paint products other wise it dulls the effect

You could always get the other type pins, locking no wire type like Proven Wicked has on there's.

Like so
