Money permitting its a no brainier. Stingray wins. The camaro is old news. Lt, Le, SS, Zl1 are all the same body style and yesterday's front page. The new C7 is taken the headlines.

Not that it makes much difference, but the 2014 ZL1 should be out at about the same time as the new Stingray. I'll definitely be checking it out. Thinking about getting it for my husband, Birthday/Anniversary present. Love what I've read so far and the pictures look great. Just finished Motortrends (Mar 13) issue, great article and pictures. Can't make that kind of decision without first seeing it in person and of course taking it for a test drive! The crashed one on u tube, oh how painful to see, although I'd like to see the data like how fast it was going and the g number when it lost grip.

why folks are always talking about the zl1 weight?? how about the germans with their boats ? audi a7, bmw 5,6,7 and benz, they all weight at 4000lbs+ and they performs as well as the zl-1...
when you read those reviews they don't mention the weight ,they talk about the leather and the nav system and other stuff.. in every review about the z, they trash talk about the weight... they don't have nothing to talk about. just check the weight of those big taurus, chrysler 300's .. 4000lbs club also and how about the pickups and utes? the camaro was fat from the beginning.{C5} in the last gen they weren't talking about it because all those cars in that time were in the 33-3500lbs. nowadays it's common to see those weights for the bigger cars/trucks.. if you compare by low weight power/ratio well you gotta spend big bucks if you want to be under 3500lbs category. --talking about minimum 400hp club or even 500hp... the zl1 is great buy when you compare. or you pay and get the new vette. for myself i would get the zl1. |

ZL1, no brainer choice for me. I'm only 28 and will probably own a Vette when I'm 45 or so. I got plenty of time.

45, not sure that meets the minimum age requirement. Most vette drivers from my own personal observations are in their 60s. The ZL1 is definitely the perfect Muscle car for the younger man. It's has that mean menacing look, hard muscular lines, and very sexy! And the ZL1 doesn't come with the free sample bottle of Viagra in the glove box like the vette does.

I'd rather own a CTSV Sedan than own a Vette at the moment. I don't see a Vette happening anytime soon. Great car but just not practical for me at the moment. |

Both are great choices, but the Vette is new and THE car to have. I would be really happy to test the new LT1 and transmission!! This car on the road is going to draw as much attention as a Lambo ...uhmm I say a Z06 is the best choice LOL

Base C7 vs ZL1 - I choose the ZL1. The ZL1 will always be cool. The C7 will only have the wow factor for the 1st year.
C7Z06 vs ZL1 - then def C7Z06 lol.
