So guys, I got a VR intake, Black Ice and SOLO Cat Back, which tune should I go for? Trifects or IPF. They both give...modest gains I see. Heard trifectas CS sucks, not sure about IPFs though

Well modest from bone stock and I would say a little more with mods, the kicker is in the shift firmness and scaling down the computer's restriction to power at least in auto trans.

Yeah I heard this makes a noticible differnce for the autos, I have an M6 though, I want to be like "wow, this was worth it" Kinda like the Vararam or the Insulator, im not expecting Boost wow or anything lol just like 20-30rwhp noticible. 14rwhp has me thinking meh

The tune on the M6 doesn't give the feel you get from the A6 but it does give you the extra HP boost. It is worth doing as a mod. I did this on my coupe M6 but decided to wait on the vert because I knew I wanted a supercharger and would have to tune at that time to make the system work.

I think getting another 15+ HP from a tune is pretty good because usually the power increase isn't only at peak RPM. "meh" to me would only be like 5 HP lol.
I mean look at the other thread where 18HP was gained at peak with the IPF tune, and even more gains down low. That is substantial. There are not too many mods out there that will give you those types of gains. If it wasn't for the difference in price I'd say go for IPF. Not saying I think the Trifecta tune isn't worth it, but I'd lean IPF for various reasons. 465 for lifetime tunes from Trifecta, while its likely going to be more like 600+ from IPF for lifetime tunes. Otherwise it may be 50 - 100 less without the lifetime updates. Keep in mind, you'll want to use a premium octane fuel if you can. Otherwise it can negate the gains from your tune. Whatever you choose, let us know your thoughts once you've put some miles on it.

Well I made it to Mississippi. Checked my oil and it was at the half way point. Of course I added the engine cleaner at the start of my trip. But!...after driving to my fathers in the rain it was at the top of cross hatch area. So I lost a half quart?. I have this theory. When I lost 5 quarts I had driven 26 hours straight in the rain. My intake runs down low like the injen. So maybe I was taking in moisture causing the oil to thicken up into sludge. This trip I shortened the tube cause I know it was going to rain. So it appears I have not lost any oil in 800 miles. It was at the cross hatch after trip to fathers, then I added the cleaner for the big trip which put it half way and it is still half way. Maybe Im on to something? Hopefully...
