No, they just taped off the parts.

I wonder how that paint will hold up to the heat as it looks like auto paint rather than rattle can like VHT high temp paint. I've used car paint on engine blocks with mixed results, sometimes having the paint lift off in the higher heat areas. I am going to paint my calipers using VHT caliper paint. I plan on stripping the silver paint off by blasting with glass beads. I used duct tape to mask off the pistons and bleed screws which I hope will stand up to the blasting.

I've had good luck with them so far. Haven't installed these ones, but my SS calipers (pic below) were painted using the same paint by the same shop. He uses this paint on engine blocks and brakes all the time and says he never has issues, so I'm confident they will be fine. It's very high quality as well (Glasurit), not regular car paint.

You should post once on your car! Are they the same blue as the ZR1 caliper?
Thanks, I will when they go on in the coming weeks. Originally I started with wanting the Jet Stream Blue (ZR1), but my painter showed me a motorcycle tank he had done in this color and I decided thats what I wanted. We put a very light tint over it to give the proper candy look before clear coating. The Chevrolet And Brembo logos are decals, not paint just in case anyone was wondering.

Blast material more aggressive than glass bead would do a better job getting the old powder coat off.
All Brembo GM calipers are painted. The yellow actually have 3 coats. The reason they turn gold or brown with heat is the clear coat used in Europe changes color with heat. Apparently EU has more stringent environmentally laws that govern the paint and clear used. That may be why it appears to react different to the bead blasting, but it is paint.

I had the same reaction when I opened the Brembo box and had my hand covered with brake dust.

In talking to a source at GM I was told that the stock pads for the 6 Pistons are good to about 1292 F without fade and they will still work beyond that with fade.

I shelved the $45 pads as a spare/emergency set only at this point.

Thanks for the Pif OP... for the caliper bolts, how many do we need? Looking at the caliper, is it just two for each caliper?

Bump for the question above.

I know proper measurement would be from the face of the hub but I don't feel like pulling a wheel today. Sorry, that should give you something to reference though.

Thanks for the info. If you can please get the proper measurements. Just hate to buy these then can't do the install until I get new wheels.

Depending on the brand the lines should come with new banjo bolts and crush washers. (The Goodridge do)

I ran the Goodridge ZL1/SS lines with mine and there were no issues outback. They came with the Banjo's too.

If it hasn't been mentioned when you get CTS-V calipers the crossover tubes need to be swapped for use on a Camaro.

So, is it not for sure they (front calipers) fit with the RS wheels?

I am using 20x9 rear wheels on all four corners which sit closer to the caliper than the 20x8 so I am trying to find out if there is a difference and what that difference is.

I'm at the station today and don't even have my car with me.

IIRC JDP has the measurements on their site with the front brake kit.
