red lights not included in fast list?
Why is it red lights aren't included in the official fast list? R/T early or late doesn't change E/T. At all sanctions NHRA, IHRA, ADRL, etc. a red light won't disqualify a national record or position in qualifying. Just wondering

In response, I also started the "unofficial" 1/4 mile list to allow for those times (red lights) and for corrected times (at the request of members at higher altitude). I'm always open to change, but for the past 3 years, its been this way with only a few complaints (out of thousands of members).

Hang around here long enough and you'll find out that's not even close to true.

If you want the rules changed you need to contact the moderators in charge of the forum.
If enough members want the rule changed, then possibly the rules can be changed. If I'm contacted by the ones in charge of the forum (not 100% sure who they are), I'll change the format to allow for red lighted runs. But until then, make clean runs if you want to make the "official" list. I would also like to add. The Camaro5.com 1/4 mile list is the best collection of 1/4 mile times for the 5th gen Camaro on the net. Lets not get rude or disrespectful with your comments (post #3). That will get you kicked out of the forum. And we all know R/T has nothing to do with E.T. That has never been the issue. The original issue was about driver's skill.

Not that I really care one way or the other but..... if driver skill regarding reaction time is a prerequisite to making the list, then in my opinion any ET coupled to a RT of more than .100 should also not count. If a driver cannot react to a .5 tree in .100 or less....they really have very little skill. Any one who made the list with silly .200 or .300 RT's would have, in most cases, lost to much slower cars that would have beat them with hole shot wins. |

I would just wait for a couple seconds and then go. My comment is not rude or disrespectful, some say that's how it is on other forums but I am literally on 15 car forums and none are like that. Just saying. But also I don't have a Camaro so I will never be on the list anyway lol.
