The first and only Laguna seca blue Boss sold for 425,000 with 375,000 going to charity. I can see the ZL1 racking up around 300,000.

So that already means we wont see carbon flash on our regular ZL1s, correct?
I wonder what the CGM replacement will be then... |

Sounds like the last # of the SLP ZL1s that is being auctioned off. Not the factory production chevrolet ZL1...so I would put in an est. of it selling at 250k due to its color, rarity, last of the SLP ZL1s, and early buy for someone who wants to brag a lot.
HA...guessed it right! Last edited by kudzu74; 09-25-2011 at 06:05 AM. |

No, it's not a 2011 SLP "ZL1." It's clearly stated that it's a 2012 Chevrolet factory ZL1.

Details: The relationship between man and machine is about to get intimate. Introducing the ultimate in performance technology, the 2012 Camaro ZL1. As the fastest and the most technically advanced Camaro ever offered by Chevrolet, the ZL1 name is derived from the racing engine that was installed into a handful of 1969 Camaros and represented the pinnacle in Camaro performance, until now. Shown here in its pre-production form, you'll receive the 69th production 2012 Camaro ZL1. This will be the only production vehicle in the Carbon Flash Metallic exterior color. The winning bidder will be able to order and select their options for the vehicle from the car's available choices. Camaro ZL1 is a complete high performance sports car. The LSA supercharged 6.2 Liter V8 engine will produce an estimated 550 plus horsepower and 550 plus ft/lb of torque. Built on Chevrolet's legendary all-aluminum, small block V8 architecture, the ZL1's engine features multiple details designed to ensure its exceptional performance is delivered with smoothness and refinement. The engine is matched with a 6-speed manual transmission with a new, shorter-throw shifter that actuates the gear changes and a dual-disc clutch system that has a higher torque capacity. With a segment exclusive Magnetic Ride Control, ZL1 drivers will notice the technologically advanced and highly developed chassis and suspension systems that help it deliver balanced, track-ready handling and braking power to complement its high engine output. One hundred percent of the winning bid will benefit the YMCA of Southern Nevada, an organization committed to nurturing the potential of kids, promoting healthy living and fostering a sense of social responsibility in Southern Nevada. The winning bidder can take delivery at a dealership in their hometown. The 2012 Camaro ZL1 is offered by Fairway Chevrolet of Las Vegas, Nevada. **ALL PROCEEDS TO BENEFIT YMCA OF SOUTHERN NEVADA**

What I find interesting about this car is the VIN because it sounds like the ZL1 will have separate VINs from the other camaros. Does anyone know if there was a 2012 camaro produced with the VIN ending in 00069? |

A VIN is a serial number and the 69th car produced would get the VIN ending with 00069. GM would have to either skipped 00069 or give the ZL1 camaros separate VINs or GM doesn't put the VINs in sequence.

Good point, would be cool if zl1's had their own vin.
Would this indicate a different model rather than just another trim level? |

I would murder everyone on this site for Carbon Flash Metallic to be a standard color option on the ZL1
