KnightRider is back, AND HE'S A MUSTANG!

http://jalopnik.com/cars/knight-ride...0kr-327687.php

Awwwww DAMNIT to HELL! They HAD to use a Mustang didn't they!!!

I just hope the show is cool... cause the ride sucks (as much as a 550hp Shelby GT500KR can suck).

wow this is ugly. I don't mind the look of gt500's but wtf? Looks like a swimmer's nose plug on those hood "scoops"

Well, I can't really say this isn't expected. Think about it, now everyones crazy over the Camaro, thanks to Transformers, so ford's gonna try an up it by putting a stang on a national tv show. But personally, I still think Kitt should still be if not a trans am, but maybe another GM product.

I don't even care that it's a mustang, they just picked terrible placement for the roving LED

ugh...This is the type of thing that get's me wishing the Camaro had come out already.
Aw well, the Mustang should perform (acting) just fine. I just wish our car could've eclipsed the Mustang again on the Big Screen...

Why did they plug the scoops? I thought they were functional, maybe they aren't. Oh well, I was never really a fan of the show anyways

At least it's a muscle car... Wonder how long the show will last this time... Big fan when I was little...

Oh no....don't use the stang. If you are going to remake the show, there are so many other cars you could use. Don't like the idea of it for KITT. I like the stang itself, but not for KITT.

I, too, was a huge fan when I was younger. Hope it can somewhat live up to the original.

Yeah the Mustang as KITT is seriously ghey...

But the better and more important question is....how are they going to find someone cooler than David Hasselhoff to play Michael

Hmm, seems a bit fishy to me. They say it's confirmed and we have photos, but they said the light was photoshopped. I saw no other markings or badging with KITT or Knight Enterprise (or whatever it was called).

I also find it hard to believe they would have a stable of those cars to thrash for a weekly TV series.

I'm sure they can mass-produce body kits if they wanted. And so long as they don't try and jump the car much it should be fine. Remember, it only has to look like a Mustang GT500 KR -KITT Edition. They could use a V6 stang from a couple years ago with body kits most of the time

You're right of course, still doesn't seem legit to me. This wouldn't be the first (or last) time I'd be wrong about something.

Here you go, giving Ford the idea for another "edition" of the 'Stang. This year the Bullit, maybe a Boss Edition, next year the KITT Edition. I'm sure it will be another badges and bodykit special with a V-6 and crappy exhaust. Maybe the center stack will have all the cheesy looking buttons on it too.
