Camaro 2010 6,2 ss strange noise after warm.
Hello, i have strange problem. When engine is hot i have this strange noise, hear that from passenger side. In film attachment you can hear that. Problem is only when engine is hot, newer do that when is cold or middle temp.
More temperature = loduer noise. Its not like in other threads lifter clicking, maybe problem is from that small lifter roller? Oil is new, all work okey. Only that kwi kwi...Anyone have sugestion? https://youtu.be/RlVdl9vpaAU |

For now i hear that noise only in one lifter. Use stethoscope for that. Try change all and give a report.

You sure that's not coming from the belts?

For sure get in there and look at those rockers ASAP.. Try not to run it until you do just to be safe.

One roller from lifter was broken, camshaft too need to be replaced. I buy new lifters, camshaft and now wait for all parts.

I assume you are replacing all the lifters, both sides of engine?
By the way, was this a stock cam? Have you always used Mobil 1 or other full synthetic oil? Manual or automatic? And how many miles on the car? Just asking so this thread will advance the community's knowledge of how this engine ages. It's not every day that we hear about a Camaro in Poland! Dzięki! |

Sure, when i go to secod workshop where Camaro stay now and wait for parts i make some photos. Now im little tired fast disasembly engine action hehe. Must make some tunes here and get some cash for repair my Camaro
I replace all lifters and new gm cam. My Chevy have 42k miles, automatic transmission, all parts inside engine looks like new. Here in Poland its hard to buy any parts for it, for camschaft im must wait 2 weeks, buy it in USA. Last edited by GTH; 03-17-2018 at 05:08 AM. |

make sure the bottom of the lifter bore didn't get f'd up...otherwise you will be right back where you are in short order...have the shop double check all of the bores...cheap insur...good luck!
btw - if the bore is f'd then it's either bushings or a new/replacement block...fyi...

You mean hole surface condition where put new lifters or this from Enginetech lifters are bad quality? All lifters get out without problem from block. I change all lifters, camschaft from GM after give shop seller my Vin, all seals and oil. Maybe today i put some photos. I see in google damage and noise same as my, always is result from broken lifter roller, then destroy cam camschaft.
