Dealer trying to talk me out of manual 6spd order **UPDATE***

Trying to order a 2ss 45th. Dealer is trying to talk me out of ordering a 6spd. They are citing lower resale of the 6 spd vs. Auto. I know the L99 is harder to modify due to the AFM.

This car will not be a daily driver. Give me some opinions on this please.

Thanks

If you ask me its your car, its your money, its your choice.

I personally went with the LS3. I have no regrets getting the M6.

IMO its a lot more fun than the Auto ones.

The dealer must think you'll be back in a few years to trade again. Why should he care what the resale is?

Just for kicks, go to another dealer and try again and see if they try to talk you out of the M6, then a third and a fourth if necessary. Make your choice on what you hear and want. You are the one driving dude.

Is it your car or the dealers car?

Hey...did you know the automatic costs more than the M6....soooooooooo maybe he's motivated more by his commission than your resale value?

Just a thought.

You pay less and it's more fun to drive. Your dealer is an idiot.

Since it's not a daily driver, definitely get the M6. Less money, more power, and a lot more fun to drive.

Now, if you're planning on making it a drag car, go with the A6. It will take a little more money to match the HP/Torque of the LS3, but with heavy mods it shoots down the strip way quicker.

If you want a M6 then get it. I did....I couldn't be more happier with my decision. It's nice to be in complete control of you shift points. Ask for a different sales rep.

Your car your choice

It's you MONEY your car and it's your choice. He is telling you that because he REALLY REALLY likes you. Get what you want how you want it & you will be a happy man. Appears he is padding the commision on the options for his own sake.Auto is nice I have one ,but if you like to shift go for it.Your only young once and we all most of us started out on sticks.

Definitely get what you want!! I wonder why the dealer really cares so much if you have an automatic or not? Try another dealer!

I have owned both manuals and autos in the seven Camaros I have owned in the last 40 years. My 2011 is an M6 and I wouldn't have it any other way. Get the M6.

As others have said...get the car you want. The dealer is probably saying the auto has better resale value because you pay more for it in the first place. I went ordered a manual because of the type of car I wanted it to be (more interactive and fun, an enthusiast car and not a mere point A to B ride).
