2012 Cluster number style different on 4 gauges!

I noticed that the new 2012 cluster number style is different on the 4 gauges.
Look closely, and you can notice that numbers are written differently on the RPM and the Speedo than on the 4 gauges. Just compare the digits.
Seems GM kept the 4 gauges font from first version of 2010-2011 on these gauges. Why ??

I would like to get an answer from GM on this error and when is it planned the cut-in on the prodution line. For a heartbeat car, such error can't just be understandable from GM.
Just added pictures below, just scroll down in this tread.

Its not an error, its part of a few 2012 changes, along with the new steering wheel and padded I/P above the radio/HVAC controls.
I don't think they plan on changing the 4-pack lower gauge cluster.

I know its parts of the changes made in 2012, but why keeping the old style of numbers on the 4 gauges ? Why the change of the digit numbers was just applied to the RPM and the Speedo. It just not make sens for a design stand point.
Anyhow, I'm still looking to buy one soon.

all kinds of cool changes- door sills, locking wheel lugs, padded dash, new steering wheel, different gauges- new mirror design w in mirror back upcamera on 2lt/2ss- much stronger magnet on the seatbelt holders on seats- no middle seatbelt/ buckle for middle rear passenger location- no rear cargo net, body color roof antenna...just a few of the changes ive noticed- i wasnt pleasantly suprised with the door sill covers though..

There isnt a seatbelt for the middle passenger on the 2010 or 2011 that I know of. Mine sure doesn't have one.

How can it not make sense? New model year, new subtle changes to keep the car fresh in design rather than the same thing for a 3rd year in a row.

It makes perfect sense. You keep your customer base interested rather than feeding them the same stuff over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over......

Hi, I think you misunderstood my point. Changes are always welcome when properly done. The point is the different number style that GM brought in 2012. Look carefully to the digits. Look at digit 1 in the RPM and look at digit 1 on the 4 gauges near the console. The style numbers was kept from MY2010 in the MY2012 for the 4 gauges. The changes in the RPM and Speedo was not incorporated to the 4 gauges. This is a non sense from GM designers, since now those Camaro 2012 have two types of lettering on a dash instrumentation.

If it bugs you overly much, swap out the offending gauges for the older one's that harmonize to your satisfaction. Remember the adage, "If thine eye offends thee pluck it out."

I think you are trying to blow up something up that is such a minor design element.

Because the console gauge cluster isnt an option in every single Camaro and only available on certain models, I would venture to guess the retooling of the console gauges probably wouldnt make sense in the terms of money. If its not featured in every unit, its not cost effective to change it across the entire platform.

Besides, a sans-serif font (which is what the gauge console is) is much easier to read as a small font than a serif.

The last thing im doing when driving is going.... "MY GOD, THESE FONTS DONT MATCH! AAAAARRRGGHHHH!!"

...and apparently, it's not stopping you from getting one either.

I'll be more than happy to swap speedo/tachs with you if it bothers you that much. I personally really like the new "sleeker" design of the speedo. So let me know if that's something you'd like to do.
