To answer the question earlier about "Final Allocation". The dealer will get a report on GM Global Connect (GMGC) after they consense to units and that will tell them what they will get for the next four weeks in final allocation.

I just ran the report again this morning and it is a February 2009 report for March production. So don't go hounding your dealer for next month's report because it's not yet available. When I see mine, I will post and then you can call your friendly Chevrolet dealer and ask nicely if you Camaro is next in line based upon his final allocation for March 2009 for April production.

Try to make friends with your dealer. Giving them a hard time is kind of like complaining about the food to your waitress. You don't want a spitball in you meatball hero.

I was just told that every dealer will have a 1LT or 2LT by May 6th to display or sell (dealer's choice). The dealer will not be able to order specifics. It will be what they send you. Nothing in writing but that's what I was told.

I would think if you have a sold order and it's being built by 3/23-3/27, the car should arrive way before May 6th.

Each individual dealer has access to their own info. I can't tell you what another dealer is going to get for any given timeframe.

Remember that the dealer you gave your hard earned money to should be able to at least give you some of this info. If you can't rely on them for simple answers to simple questions, how do you know they even built your Camaro the right way?

Problem is they can't find out when they will get their allocation and they can't ever get ahold of anyone in the know at GM. It's typical treatment of the small town dealers. I have a really bad feeling that they are going to get screwed over and they probably won't get their 1 car until after summer so all the big guys can get their cars first. Sorry for going off but it just doesn't seem fair and it happens to all the dealers around here when something new comes in. :(

Just my opinion but I'd be VERY surprised if GM screwed over all the "little guys". I'd be totally surprised if every dealer didn't get their first allocation- whether they have only 1 or 69, prior to the 4th of July. It's just the right thing to do.

That's still almost 4 months after SOP. I'd be happy if my order gets pulled in April or May but I just don't see it happening with the way things always seem to go.

Didn't they say that all dealers would get 1 sold and the one-per-dealer car within the first month or so?

I agree, but I think every dealership will have their first "sold order" along with their V6 floor model by May 6th!!!!

I thought it was just the 1 per dealer car that didn't count towards allocation

I sure hope so. It's almost impossible to try and be patient when there isn't a way to know when your order will go through
