2012 SS L99 stock exhaust sounds so weak

I just bought a 2012 camaro ss automatic and the stock exhaust does not sound very good. My friend just bought a mustang gt and its stock exhaust sounded amazing. Is it just my camaro and i got a dud?? Or do they all sound kinda weak? Thanks!

They are very tame from the factory. Luckily, we have an excellent aftermarket following so it doesn't have to stay that way. Give us a call and we help you take care of the exhaust problem real quick. Or you can always stop by our site and shop around....we have video clips up on most of our systems!

Yep, stock exhaust is very weak. You can put on an aftermarket system, but then you will hear the AFM noise more when it kicks in and out. So then you will want a tune to turn off AFM....it's a slippery slope. Oh yeah, and those trash can-looking mufflers are heavy and ugly. Another good reason to ditch the stock system.

An aftermarket axle-back will definitely help with that! Check our LSR axle-back exhaust, it's made in the USA and features a lifetime warranty:

Muffler delete for 100$ is still getting me compliments everyday. I'm still planning to get the stainless works retro catback sometime down the road.

The Mustangs always have had the Camaros in the sound department (stock) in my opinion. I hated the way mine sounded and put an axle back on my car at 75 miles. Not only will you give you the sound you are looking for, but a weight savings. It will really come to life if you ever decide to go with long tubes.

Long tubes = great sound

Stock L99 A6 exhaust is ridiculously weak sounding. It's embarrassing for a 400hp Camaro SS.

I watched a guy with a stock Camaro SS rev his engine (for a group of people). Everyone just looked at each other like "that's it?"

Yep very true this is why my exhaust only stayed stock for 2 day after I got it.

Longtube Headers=
