I dunno, but it seems as i take off from a dead stop as i let the clutch out i get alot of noisy backlash in the drivtrain.... is this normal on a 6 speed or am i jus not driving right?

I get a clunk at times when I let it in/out at very low speeds which is pretty common. Are you sure its the clutch and not a vibration under acceleration? As long as you're not riding the clutch like crazy its the car and not you. Its more an issue of finding out if its a typical drivetrain noise or something wrong. Has it always done it? Just started? What conditions/gears/rpm? Only when its cold or all the time?

Yeah its the clunking noise when u let in/out the clutch like at a stop and taking off.... and u get like a clunk jerking back n both. i just dont remember my 06 mustang doing that. Ive only had the car 3 weeks, its has less than 250Miles...

Yeah the clunk happens in a lot of them; same goes for corvettes and CTS-V's. I never look at mustang forums so I dunno about those. I've just accepted it as one of those things that makes the car unique. Eventually I'll upgrade it and hopefully it'll disappear.

850 miles on mine and there's a bunch of posts about it. It didn't start happening more/less as the clutch broke in. I did get a bit less chatter out of it after about 250.

There are springs on the friction plate.. This is part of the noise.

It's also the bit of gear play in the trans.. normal

thanks for the input..... The clutch is so snappy in these cars which makes me feel like
im learning how to drive a stick all ova again.

If you haven't already tried it, try doing a fuse pull also. It seems to have helped with my herky jerky's.

You talking bout the fuse pull for the Fuel map?
