Resurrecting an old thread. Having poor reception also but with aftermarket Pioneer HU. Even added antennae amplifier and the reception comes and goes.

Figured out my issue... I had used a typical antenna adapter for the new head unit and the Camaro needs an amplified antenna adapter. Had the sound shop change out the antenna adapter to a 40-EU55 and reception jumped significantly!
