Even with updates this game is still BS. I preorder the game and get Nuketown. For the first few days you could play exclusively just Nuketown and you could also play Nuketown with Zombies then they take it away from us...BS

Lag compensation is what ruined the game for me... I get punished for having an awesome connection... I enjoy the game when it works, but Battlefield 3 is worlds better than the entire COD franchise

Soooo.....there is such a thing as lag compensation??? guess thats my problem then..... figures, I get a great connection and get punished for it. I average around 10 mbps up and just over 50 mbps down

The game developers try to obscure it... In a sense it is required to maintain a certain smoothness to the game. Otherwise it would be very choppy, problem is it seems to have become more and more prevalent.

End result: those of us with high bandwidth and low latency get "corrections" to try to balance it. Those first 3 or 4 hit markers you see get tossed out by the game to give the other guy a chance... So basically you have no chance... And don't even get me started on the aim assist! Spray and pray beats careful aim everytime...

I've done all off this, horrific lag on some games. 19+megs down, 3+up checked using speedtest.net while the game was lagging balls. At this point I know it isn't me or my internet connection, and having a particular friend of mine in the lobby with me (we know and have tested his horrific connection) allows him to rack up serious kills with a ballistic knife while I'm getting no hit markers, aiming down sights less than 5 feet away from the mark. They really need to do something about lag/latency compensation bc it is ruining the game at times. More info to back the issue is when he leaves the group, the entire team lag clears up and we smash the other teams. Tested using both a brand new xbox and a year old one on my end, nothing fixes it although the newer one seems to be a bit better (possibly placebo).

I noticed that when I played with you guys on MW3.....I never did as well during those matches as I do playing in a match by myself.....

I'm the same way. I think its due to us just used to playing solo so often.

Things are looking up though! Woman bought me a 23" ASUS 2ms monitor for Xmas :-D same monitor used for MLG competitions. Bye bye input lag!!!

Well, we finally got the game choice set to "best" but it still lags some games. It is at least playable with an automatic weapon, but a wash for handguns. At least it makes it better with a few exceptions. either way, you should have some kills from our time on yesterday!
