Well I guess it's a grey area I'm told. 2008 and newer no cage to 10.00 and under 135 mph OEM unmodified. Castrol informed me my car was modified, I told them it was enhanced not modified. They agreed to let me run to 10.00 as long as my car had a driveshaft loop and I wore a fire jacket. The track manager said he had a lengthy discussion with IHRA in May when they booted me and it was left to his discretion. There are several cars running 10's at castrol under that rule.

OK, the answer to your question is no not at MRP. There standing by the NHRA rule if the 2008 or newer modified, you need a bar at 11.49 and quicker.

Funny thing tho, look at the ZL1 fast lists. All the 10 second cars running, I wonder how many of those have no cage and ran at an NHRA track. Not trying to start a debate, just seems like every track is different. I'd love to run my car in some good air but I guess it won't be at MRP.

Sorry to bug you again so soon Merc but my ZL1 ran pretty good last night at BMP. DA was 1013, temp was 71f. Category 11.
